Handlettering Challenge: #CFLGilmoreGirls
COPPER BOOM!
If you don’t know what that refers to, do yourself a favor and snuggle up with some pop tarts and coffee and watch Gilmore Girls – right now. I’ll wait.
As mentioned in my #FebwithFriends post I said that in the month of February I participated in my first ever Instagram Hand-Lettering Challenges that were inspired by 2 of my all-time favorite TV shows. You can, as always, check out the craziness as it happens on my Instagram (GlancePaintz)
I will use today’s space to pull together my posts from the #CFLGilmoreGirls Challenge hosted by my all-time favorite letterer Chalkfulloflove (seriously, this woman got me started on lettering with her Hand Lettering 101 book and is just all around amazing!)
I hope you all enjoy this stroll through Stars Hollow!
February 7th -Oy with the poodles already
February 9th – Life’s too short talk fast
February 12th – Copper Boom
February 19th – Where you lead, I will follow
February 21st – Nothing says coffee like six in the morning
February 23rd – I smell snow
February 26th – in omnia paratus
Gilmore Girls is just one of those shows that had so many relatable, defining moments it was hard to not get sucked in and truly believe you were a part of this small quirky community. When it ended it was tragic for all involved but the resurgence of the show following its reboot has been giving me LIFE.
I definitely tried to have a little more fun with these quotes, especially because just reading them brings you back to the exact moment they were first said, so I had some material to work with! I skipped around and didn’t complete every quote of this challenge either but this one was also only hosted on Monday, Wednesday & Friday throughout the month. Some of the small pencil sketches ended up being my favorites from this one! Looking forward to making a few of these into finished pieces for some fellow fans!
Again I will say, if you haven’t seen any of these episodes – watch them the next chance you get! Stars Hollow always has room for one more crazy, caffeinated friend!
As always – thanks for stopping by!
